The Highway 58 Herald has been serving the communities along the Hwy 58 corridor for nearly 6 years now with news and information. We, and you, should consider The Herald our news platform and we need your help to keep this valuable rural news source going.

We are in financial straits. The Herald has been covering local news from forest fires to the proposed TV Butt mine to uplifting stories of lost and found dogs and communities need a trusted news source. Funding both high school and college student journalists through grants has been our priority - providing these young adults with real-world experience and expanding The Herald's capacity to cover more of the important news and stories has grown because of their training.

However, our daily operations are not covered by these grants.

If The Herald's doors can't stay open, we can't publish.

The Herald is in desperate need of operating funds. It costs several thousand dollars per month just to keep you informed of daily events and how your government is working for you.

Your editor/publisher is a volunteer who doesn't take a dime.

We want, and you deserve, a platform that is local, reports local, as a foundational piece of infrastructure for the communities we serve. Think of us as important as any bridge that connects people to the town.
