The Wivenhoe, Fingringhoe, and Rowhedge Ferry has been a cherished part of our community for decades, connecting our riverside towns and villages, and serving locals and visitors alike.

It is operated entirely by dedicated volunteers, and offers not just transport—but a unique link to and celebration of our heritage, landscape, and way of life.

However, we now face a critical challenge. Our current vessel has served us well, but must be decommissioned at the end of this ferry season. Without a replacement, this treasured service risks being lost for good.
