Help Fund the 2026 CareFreeBlackGirl CookOut Tour

Hey y’all, it’s QUANNA, founder of CareFreeBlackGirl.
First, I want to say thank you. Thank you to every single person who has ever attended a CookOut, shared a flyer, streamed the podcast, donated, or simply believed in the vision. CareFreeBlackGirl exists because of community — and because people like you saw the value in creating safe, joyful, and affirming spaces for Black femmes.
But I’ll be honest: 2025 has been one of the hardest years we’ve ever faced. For years, we’ve been proud to self-fund our events and occasionally bring in sponsors to help. But this past year, many of the sponsors who committed to supporting us pulled back at the last minute, citing “differences” and leaving us to carry overwhelming costs alone. On top of that, the current climate has made it harder than ever for grassroots, Black femme-led brands like ours to access the discounts, resources, and funding that once helped us thrive.
To make things even more difficult, we’ve been deemed “high-risk” when producing large-scale events — forcing us to secure more insurance, security, and other expenses that make it nearly impossible to continue at a national level without serious financial backing.
Despite it all, we refuse to let CareFreeBlackGirl die out. This movement was born from self-funding, from sacrifice, and from the unwavering belief that Black femmes deserve to see themselves celebrated. We’ve always made a way — but now, we need our community to make a way with us.
That’s why we’re launching this GoFundMe. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to cover the costs of the 2026 CareFreeBlackGirl CookOut Tour. These funds will go directly toward venue costs, staffing, food, logistics, and security — the very things that allow us to keep ticket and vendor prices affordable and our spaces accessible.
In 2026, we plan to bring the CookOut to:
Detroit
DMV (Washington, D.C./Maryland/Virginia)
Philadelphia
New York City
…and more cities to be announced.
This fundraiser is not just about one year — it’s about sustainability. It’s about ensuring that CareFreeBlackGirl can continue to be a platform for emerging Black femme artists, entrepreneurs, and community voices without relying solely on inconsistent sponsorship.
If you’ve ever danced at our CookOuts, networked at one of our mixers, found inspiration in our podcasts, or simply felt joy knowing a space like CareFreeBlackGirl exists — we are asking you to support us today.
Every donation, no matter the size, gets us closer to keeping this movement alive. And if you can’t donate, please share this with your network.
Together, we can ensure that CareFreeBlackGirl continues to grow, shine, and create spaces where Black femmes are empowered, loved, and celebrated.
Donate. Share. Show love.
Let’s keep building this — together.
With love & gratitude,
QUANNA & the CareFreeBlackGirl Team
