Help Fund Texas Flood Recovery
Donation protected
Good Morning,
I’ve been in Central Texas long enough to know that when it rains heavy, it typically floods. But I never imagined this kind of devastation. The loss of life. The destruction of homes. Families left with nothing. Since last Friday, I’ve been glued to every update, watching this unfold across the Hill Country. Something in me just couldn’t sit still, I felt pulled to get involved and offer a hand wherever I could.
Over the last 14 years, this place has given me a lot. It’s where I’ve built my life and earned a living serving the people of Central Texas— as a chef, and real estate professional, building lasting relationships along the way. So when I saw what was happening, there was only one option. It’s time to show up for the same community that’s always shown up for me.
After calling and emailing Team Rubicon and a couple other organizations nonstop since Saturday without any luck, I decided to take matters into my own hands. On Wednesday morning, I connected with a few local community organizers who made it clear—what’s most needed right now is heavy equipment and dump trailers to haul out the debris.
I searched high and low and found an incredible company @wctractors in Bryan, Texas that had exactly what was needed. I drove out yesterday, picked up the equipment and for at least the next week I’ll be doing everything I can to support rescue and recovery efforts across the region.
This mission is fully self-funded through my business. No outside backing, no donations so far. Just action. But if you feel called to support, I’m accepting small donations to help offset diesel costs and landfill dumping fees.
(Local landfills are currently charging $120–$150 per trailer load , and with the volume we’re hauling, the costs stack up quickly.)
Any funds raised beyond these costs will be passed along to an affected local family (JJ) helping to rebuild what’s been lost.
Thanks to everyone who’s reached out. If you know someone who needs help or wants to help, send me a text. There’s tons of work ahead, but I’m committed to doing my part.
