With October being Rett Syndrome Awareness Month, we are focused on raising funds benefitting Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT) in honor of Blaire and other kids and adults impacted by Rett Syndrome to help fast track curative medicine.
Blaire, born in November 2022, initially developed like any other infant, hitting most milestones and bringing immense joy to our lives. However, around 9 months old, we noticed changes in her gross motor skills. This led to a whirlwind of weekly physical therapy sessions, neurologist visits, a brain MRI, and genetic testing. Just after Blaire’s first birthday in November 2023, we received the devastating diagnosis: Rett Syndrome. This news shook our world in ways we can’t even describe. However, we have picked ourselves up and continued forward to give Blaire everything she needs and more, while navigating some big unknowns and processing the grief of the situation.
Despite these challenges, Blaire's resilience and infectious happiness continue to touch everyone she meets. As her parents, we’re dedicated to finding a cure for Rett Syndrome, hoping to pave the way for Blaire and other children like her to lead even more full and more independent lives.
Through it all, Blaire remains our greatest source of strength and inspiration. Her journey has only just begun, and we are deeply committed to supporting her every step of the way.
A bit more about Rett...... Rett Syndrome is a devastating disorder that affects 350,000 children and adults globally, robbing them of essential abilities like speech and movement. The RSRT is on the front lines of research, working tirelessly to find a cure through its innovative CURE 360 initiative. Together, we can help turn the tide for those impacted by this condition.
Your contributions can make a significant difference by:
- Funding cutting-edge research that targets the genetic causes of Rett Syndrome.
- Facilitating the transition of promising research into biopharma, paving the way for clinical trials.
Join our family in supporting RSRT’s mission to bring hope and healing to families affected by Rett Syndrome. Every donation brings us one step closer to a cure for Blaire!
