My name is Jenna, and I am a nursing student with a deep passion for serving communities in need. Ever since I began my journey in nursing, I’ve dreamed of volunteering in underserved areas around the world. When my school offered the chance to join a service trip to Guatemala with Friends of San Lucas, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to combine my education with my desire to make a real difference.

During this trip, I will work alongside Friends of San Lucas and other volunteers to provide general health checks for students in local schools and assist with medical outreach. I am also working hard to learn Spanish so I can communicate respectfully and effectively with the community, ensuring that everyone receives the care and attention they deserve.

This experience will help me grow not only as a nurse, but also as a person. I hope to bring back new skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of how healthcare can transform lives.

The funds I raise will go directly toward covering the program’s costs, including airfare, housing, meals, transportation, insurance, and staff support. I need to secure these funds by December 7th, 2025 to confirm my participation.
