This is my dad. He was detained by ICE on May 7th in Nashville, Tennessee. My dad is one of the most hardworking men I know. He would wake up every morning at 6 and go to work. There were times when he would stay up late at night to work on his plans for construction. My dad is the type of person who is willing to help anyone when he can, even strangers, and it breaks my heart knowing that these are the people they consider “criminals.”

My dad started working at the age of 9 to help his parents out. After a couple of years, his dad died, and he was left alone with his mom. He helped raise 9 of his other siblings. My dad has always told me that he works hard and does everything he can for me and my siblings because he didn’t have what we have. I thank my dad every day for giving us a better life and for sacrificing his life for us.

So today, I come to ask everyone in the community to try to help raise money for my dad's immigration lawyer and fees. Anything will help, and I appreciate everyone that donates, even if it’s just a dollar.
