Visionaries to The Throne Inc has been in service to the Dekalb and Metro Atlanta community since 2014 and gained its 501c(3) status in 2020. Visionaries has focused on teaching K-12 girls how to understand local policy and budgeting and how it affects their communities and resources available to them. Based on their observations, students are able to create service projects to bring awareness to resource disparities in their community. Past projects have included feedings, community days to let kids be kids, introducing new active ideas, camps, experiential learning opportunities, college tours, college application assistance, community healing circles, and more. The organization has expanded its service over the years to provide wrap-around support to not just the students but also to their families, creating a more civically engaged community.

The purpose of the Queens of The Throne Summer Camp is to give girls in grades 7th-12th the opportunity to break away from their urban-based communities and explore a world beyond. During their camp time, they will participate in a number of workshops including STEAM-based workshops, literacy enhancement, confidence building, journaling and meditation, farming and wildlife, community service, real-world skill building, financial literacy, healing circles, and civic-based education. In turn, these skills are able to impact their various communities as they return home from camp by creating students who recognize the need for civic engagement and real-world skill application. Visionaries to The Throne Inc hosting of the Queens of the Throne Summer Camp produces an equitable opportunity for students living in underrepresented and underserved communities to develop life-based skills that will enhance their quality of life and community. Research has shown how communities with higher civic engagement have led to higher rates of social cohesion, lower mortality rates, lower crime, and stronger trust in neighborhood community. One factor that is often missed when promoting inclusivity is a sense of belonging. Sense of belonging contributes to self-esteem, and creating an environment where young girls feel overall confidence is the foundation of creating future leaders who have a sense of belonging to their communities and the confidence to fill in the gaps of misrepresentation and injustice. The goal is to provide a free camp experience for 10 girls living in underrepresented underserved communities across the U.S in grades 7th-12th to take place in Gatlinburg, TN. Students will leave having had first-time experiential learning opportunities and real-world skill introduction and connection.

Funds donated will be used for the experiential learning opportunity as follows:

$10,000 - lodging for campers (10 campers and 6 nightly volunteers)
$1,500 - Food for campers and volunteers
$1,500 - Activities and Supplies
$2,000 - Transportation

These are costs directly associated with hosting the camp for participants so that camp is at no cost to them.
