Help fund legal action to shut Sinfin Incinerator
Donation protected
It is clear to us at Sinfin Community Centre that the current intention of the council is to attempt to re-open the Sinfin Waste Plant. We know this is the worst possible news for residents living in the vicinity of the plant and beyond. We also believe the decision-making process, particularly consultation with residents, has not been correctly followed.
We at Sinfin Community Centre have taken the decision to pursue legal action.
A first legal letter has been issued to both Derby City and Derbyshire County Council Monitoring Officers.
To fight this fight we are going to need your support more than ever before. It is early days, we will give regular updates as and when we have them, however one thing is clear, we will need the backing of as many Derby residents and groups as possible.
Our first goal is to raise £5000 to cover legal fees. Should any funds raised not be necessary we will ensure all funds raised goes back in to the community, or the option will be there to return your donation (subject to Go Fund Me rules)
