Give Women Leaving Violence a Place to Rebuild
Solid Ground Transitional House: Safety. Healing. Hope
I’m building Solid Ground Transitional House — a safe and supportive space for women and families leaving violence.
Too many women face the impossible choice between staying in unsafe situations or entering homelessness and instability. Solid Ground Transitional house will change that. Our program offers:
- Safe housing for women in transition, who are escaping violence and have no where to turn.
- Healing supports through trauma-informed care and community connection.
- Financial and employment resources to help women rebuild their lives.
- Practical skills like budgeting, co-parenting support, and job readiness.
- Equitable access for Indigenous women and families, who are disproportionately affected by violence.
This is more than shelter — it’s an 8-week pathway from crisis to independence. Each participant leaves with: a financial plan, employment skills, housing readiness, and the confidence to build a new future for herself and her children.
We are also applying for direct funding from the Government of Canada and other agencies. In the meantime, we would like to ask that you help to open up the donated contributions amount, so that we can begin to secure the property that is needed for housing vulnerable women.
Your contribution will help us:
- Purchase and prepare the property for the transitional house. This location is to remain private and secure in order to protect participants.
- Launch our first pilot cohort of women and children.
- Provide housing, food, transportation, and program resources.
- Build a model that can be replicated in other communities across Canada.
Together, we can create a place of safety, dignity, and renewal — and ensure that no woman has to face these challenges alone. Please reach out to me to connect and for more information on the business plan and the purposed course material.
Every contribution makes a difference. Thank you!! Bless!!
