Help fund Gort Biogas Legal challenge

Hi there!

The Gort Biogas Concern Group intends to protect Gort, South Galway and North Clare from a dodgy Biogas development. Galway County Council rightfully refused permission for a Biogas Development of this nature 100m from residents of Gort and 900m from Gort Square, and 10m from Gort River. An Bord Pleanala overturned this decision quoting our Governments Green Agenda and we intend to challenge this in the High-Court with a judicial review. We need to raise funds to ensure we get the best legal team, prepare the best case and cover expert costs.

This is it! The ruling is that this industrial plant now has planning permisssion so if we are not successful then this will be a lasting legacy in South Galway for generations to come.

It's also important to stop the precedent of these plants popping up beside many rural towns.
