Hi :) we are Santa Barbara Contact Improv (SBCI)!

Contact Improvisation is a form invented in the '70s by Steve Paxton that uses gravity to improvise a dance.

As SBCI, we facilitate quarterly workshops to bring this incredibly rich and healing form to your community. This means paying and hosting teachers from abroad and renting usually-expensive studios, increasing the cost of tickets.

As part of our mission, we want to democratize these experiences and support our community by offering scholarships.
