Help Fund Breast Self Exam and Early Detection Awareness
Donation protected
I was diagnosed with breast cancer 8 years ago at stage 2b. Since my diagnosis, I’ve been very vocal about the importance of breast self-exams and getting to know your normal.
I go to a lot of music festivals and other events with access to thousands of people. It’s the perfect opportunity to remind people to do their self-exams and to share why they’re so important. I’m raising funds to purchase as many pink silicone bracelets as possible to hand out at these festivals and events. Each bracelet will look like the picture above and will have #RockYourRackCheck on one side and #SelfExamsSaveLives on the other. A $10 donation will purchase up to 50 bracelets, so even the smallest donation will make a difference!
Myself, along with dozens of volunteers, bands, media personnel, and vendors, have handed out thousands of them so far. Many people wear them daily long after the festival is over. My goal is for those people to look down at their wrist and be reminded that they need to do their breast self-exam. If we can help one person detect it early, our efforts are worth it.
Thank you all for your consideration, and please go do your self-exam! Here’s a link with instructions:
Note: I’ve disabled the other GoFundMe because the funds were used for previous festivals, and I didn’t want it to cause confusion. I have $200 that’s been transferred over and is being held in a separate account. In the interest of transparency, I will be happy to share invoices from both previous purchases and any purchases moving forward.
