Ever since I can remember I’ve always known something was off about my system. At the age of 16 I would drop to my knees from immense pain in my ovaries. Pain so horrible that I would drop to the floor no matter what I was doing. I went through the years not really knowing that this was only the first sign to a painful and heartbreaking journey to mommyhood. It was just the first symptom to the one thing that has broken me time and time again. INFERTILITY. It has been most of the hurt, the sadness, the incomplete, the not enough, the why? As I got older and my desire to become a mother intensified I started trying... and trying and trying. Years went by and nothing. I started searching for answers. I went to doctor after doctor, got my uterus aligned because it was “crooked”, tried Acupuncture, Reiki, Spiritual Cleanses, Massages, Herbs, Changed my diet, Exercised... Anything suggested, I tried it. In my late 20’s my OBGYN finally told me that I had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was given medication that literally shot me up 40 pounds in the matter of 4 months. I was told I could give myself daily shots in my belly but I wasn’t ready for that so I kept trying and trying naturally. Naturally never worked. I spent over 5 years seeing an infertility specialist with no success. I am at the place now that I know I need a little bit of assistance. I will be turning 37 a week from today and the only thing I want more than anything in this world is to fulfill my dreams of becoming a mother. I have decided to take the plunge and go through Invitro Fertilization. I am ecstatic for this journey and I’m counting down the days for my baby journey in Mexico. I plan on leaving in June and I will be out there for several months. I started this go fund me to help me with the cost of the treatment, initial consultations, health checkups to ensure a successful procedure, medications to prepare for ovulation induction, egg retrieval & egg transfer.
