What Is ABL?
The Average Basketball League (ABL) is a community-rooted league that uses basketball to build power, joy, and safety for Black, Brown, and marginalized youth. It’s more than sports—it’s part of a larger vision to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline and create healing-centered alternatives that actually work.
ABL is hosted by The Only Pipeline, a movement-driven organization that centers the leadership and liberation of young people impacted by the carceral system.

Why We’re Raising $2,500
This grassroots league runs completely on community support. Your donation will directly support:
- Gym space rentals and referee fees
- Beverages and snacks for players
- Uniforms and team gear
- Equipment (basketballs, first aid kits, videography, etc.)
- Childcare services
What Your Support Means
ABL is a joyful resistance to systems that criminalize our youth. Your donation helps create an environment where young people can build leadership, express themselves freely, and experience what real safety feels like—on and off the court.
Together, we can keep this league thriving.
Let’s raise $2,500 to fund the future—and have fun doing it.
Thank you for being part of the movement.
