My name is Louis, and I’m raising money to help fund a specialist piece of physiotherapy equipment called a Spider Cage.
To raise money, I will be running the London Marathon on 26th April.
Why I’m doing this
My sister Gabriella has cerebral palsy, and recently she has been working with an amazing local physiotherapist called Jamie from Strong Steps Physiotherapy.
Jamie has made a real difference in Gabriella’s progress and confidence, and it’s opened my eyes to how important specialist physio support is for people with neurological conditions.
What is a Spider Cage?
A Spider Cage is a specialist rehabilitation system used in neurological physiotherapy. It allows children and adults to practise walking, standing, balance and strength exercises safely using a harness and resistance cords.
It helps people build mobility and confidence while reducing the risk of falls — and it can be used across a wide range of therapy needs.
What we are raising money for
The Spider Cage costs around £2,500, and my goal is to raise as much of this as possible to help Jamie and Strong Steps Physiotherapy purchase one.
This equipment would benefit multiple children and adults in our local area who need ongoing rehabilitation support, and it would allow even more people to access advanced therapy locally.
Where the money will go
Every penny raised will go directly towards helping fund the purchase of the Spider Cage for Strong Steps Physiotherapy.
How you can help
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean a lot.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this page would be a massive help.
Thank you so much for supporting me and helping support local physiotherapy services that genuinely change lives.
Thanks again,
Louis
