Help Fund a New School Field for CCJS Kids
We’re the PTA team at CCJS, and we’re on a mission to completely transform our school’s outdoor space – but we can’t do it without your support.
Our school field is in urgent need of repair, but we don’t want to stop there. We’re aiming to upgrade several outdoor areas to create a safer, more enjoyable environment for all our children. In places where grass simply won’t grow, we’re exploring artificial turf as a long-lasting, practical solution.
We all share high aspirations for what we want our children to experience at school — and that includes a vibrant, welcoming outdoor space. Our goal is to turn a bare, worn-out pitch into the best possible space for children to play, learn, and have fun every day.
What We're Raising Funds For:
1. Field Resurfacing, Irrigation & Reseeding (~£18,000)
To restore the existing field and make it usable all year round for PE and play.
2. Replacing a Large Dirt Area with Artificial Grass (~£80,000)
This currently unusable triangle area sits under shade and around trees, where play equipment and benches exist – but it’s just compacted dirt. Installing astro turf will make it safe and accessible again.
3.Building a MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) Pitch (~£160,000)
A dedicated, secure sporting facility where children can enjoy football, basketball, and more – both during school and after hours. It will also be open to local clubs and community groups, addressing the severe lack of pitches in our area.
❗ Why We Need Your Help:
The school sadly has no funds available for this project. This initiative is being entirely led by us – the dedicated CCJS PTA Team – and we’re doing all we can to make it happen.
We’re actively applying for Lottery funding and grants from other organisations, but we need your support to reach our goal faster.
