Hi everyone!

We are the volunteer team behind the Plumstead Community Cinema. As you relax on the Common this weekend enjoying the films, we have one big question: Should we do this again next year?

Our goal was to create a weekend to bring our community together, doing something we love: watching movies. We would love to make this a permanent, annual tradition for Plumstead!

Why we are fundraising:

Entry to this weekend's event is 100% free so that everyone can attend. We received funding from the Plumstead & Glyndon and Plumstead Common ward funds to make it happen; however, there's no guarantee we'll be able to get these funds again.

An outdoor cinema of this scale comes with costs, from hiring the screen and professional PA system to securing the mandatory public liability insurance and official film licenses.

We want to ensure this event returns next summer, and we want to keep it completely free for the community. To do that, we are using this weekend to kickstart our fundraising for 2027!

If you are having a great time today and want to see the Plumstead Outdoor Cinema return, please consider making a donation. Whether you pitch in the equivalent of a standard cinema ticket or just a couple of pounds, every single donation goes directly into the association's fund to secure the screen and licenses for next year.
