As the holidays approach, I’ve been reflecting on how many people and families are struggling to make ends meet. Rising costs have made even the necessities like food harder to afford for so many. This season, I want to do something small but meaningful to help.
On Saturday, December 20th, I’ll be assembling 100 Dinner Bags to donate to My Brother’s Table, a wonderful organization dedicated to feeding those in need through prepared meals, donations, and community partnerships. Each Dinner Bag will include a warm meal (provided by the organization), utensils, and some snacks.
My goal is to raise enough to include a $25 gift card to a local supermarket in every bag - $2500 total, giving recipients the ability to put it towards their weekly groceries or choose something special for themselves. If we don’t quite reach it, every dollar raised will go directly to the organization.
If you’d prefer to give directly or get involved with My Brother’s Table, please visit their website at https://mybrotherstable.org/. The organization is always looking for volunteers in their kitchen and donations to support their ongoing work in the community.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help brighten someone’s day during this holiday season.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support ❤️
With gratitude,
Sarah Swalboski
