Help FSMA Prepare for Winter!

We are a collection of autonomous individuals who come together weekly to provide hot home cooked meals, hygiene necessities, harm reduction tools and clothing to the unsheltered residents of downtown Reno, Nevada. As a group, we source donations from every day people, small businesses, non profits and other organizations in order to provide our neighbors with the things they need to survive. Our group is in need of help to stay afloat this winter, including utilizing a storage unit to keep donated clothes clean and dry through the winter season in between distribution days, as well purchasing hand warmers, tarps, sleeping bags, blankets and other shelter items to provide to the community. We also are in desperate need of a canopy pop up, so that our team can provide hot food under shelter despite any winter weather. The costs of this project are well worth it to all of us involved, and we are incredibly grateful for anyone who believes the work we do is worth any donation.

The cost of storage alone has worried us, and we’re hoping to have a space secured and set up by November before any serious winter storms come through Northern Nevada.

Winter is the harshest season of the year for anyone forced to live outside, and we hope to continue to do whatever we can for our community to keep them as safe and comfortable as possible in the coming cold months.
