We are reaching out during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time for our family. My dad is being forced out of the home he has lived in for over 17 years—a place filled with memories, stability, and the life he built.
Recently, we learned that the property is set to be demolished to allow for the expansion of a motorcycle business into our residential neighborhood. For weeks, we were told that commercial development would not be possible, which gave us a sense of security. However, he received notice of a 90 day eviction and it was revealed that the East Ridge Planning Commission has recommended rezoning the property for commercial use, despite strong opposition from neighbors concerned about noise, traffic, and safety. It was also revealed Chair Casey Tuggle, who works for the business's parent company, Easy Auto, recused himself.
As if this situation wasn’t already overwhelming, the stress has taken a physical toll on him. He has been working nonstop, losing sleep, and worrying constantly about what comes next. Recently, he suffered a sprained hand as a result of pushing himself beyond his limits during this incredibly stressful time.
Now, my dad is facing the sudden loss of his home with very little time to prepare. This has left him in a vulnerable position, needing to find new housing quickly while also trying to recover physically and emotionally.
We are asking for help to support him during this transition—covering moving expenses, securing a new place to live, and helping him get back on his feet after this unexpected upheaval.
Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page—means more than we can put into words. Even the smallest act of kindness can help give my dad a fresh start and remind him that he’s not facing this alone. Thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. My dad is the hardest worker out there he deserves the best!!
