Thanks to the generous support from you “rabid community members” (that’s my favorite Phillip Weidner quote describing our supporters) we covered the cost of this years board insurance. It was decided at our last public meeting to try to raise money to cover next year’s insurance as well as reimburse Joe for last year’s insurance. Please give whenever you can afford to, we have several months to raise funds as opposed to several days so no hurry. Your awesome financial support helps to keep this “band of semi outlaws”. Hello, friends. As you all know, we at Friends of Benka Lake have been working hard for the last year to reestablish public access to Benka. Most of you know that our work has been all self-funded volunteer action.

But the time has come to ask for the public’s help in paying for another year of board insurance. Any amount you can spare will help tremendously.
