Help Fresh Gallery Survive the Renew Jordan Creek Construction

Fresh Gallery needs our help to survive as they attempt to keep their doors open throughout this massive construction project.
The Renew Jordan Creek project is well underway.
Envisioned by the City of Springfield as an urban enhancement to encourage redevelopment in downtown—something most of us agree is needed-this project promises a better future for our city.
But in the meantime, it’s coming at a cost.
Construction began in 2024, bringing unintended consequences that are hitting some downtown businesses hard.
Fresh Gallery, a small legacy gallery supporting local artists, has been cut off—almost completely.
Located at 401 N Boonville, the gallery sits directly in the center of the construction zone:
• Streets are closed
• Visibility has nearly disappeared
• There is no nearby parking
• Access by car is extremely limited
• Foot traffic requires navigating multiple active construction zones
In short: customers can’t get there.
And for a small retail gallery that relies on foot traffic, it’s been devastating.
This level of disruption is not sustainable without community support.
Construction is expected to continue through at least the end of 2026.
While the city moves forward with a project that will ultimately transform downtown, existing businesses like Fresh Gallery are struggling just to survive the transformation.
