My name is Rachel, and I am asking for help for my husband, Wilfredo Giron, who has been detained by ICE for more than two weeks.

He is a hardworking husband and father who has spent years working in construction and providing for our family. We have a 2-year-old son, and I am currently pregnant with our baby girl. Our family has been going through an incredibly difficult and uncertain time since his detention.

Before he was detained, someone contacted my husband pretending to be a potential client interested in hiring him for a construction job. My husband believed he was going to meet with someone regarding work. Instead, the situation ultimately resulted in him being taken into ICE custody. Everything happened so unexpectedly, and our lives changed from one day to the next.

Since then, I have been doing everything I can to fight for my husband and keep our family together. The legal expenses have become overwhelming, and we may also need funds for an immigration bond if he is granted the opportunity to be released while his case continues.
