When Hurricane Melissa tore through Clarendon and other parts of Jamaica, it left behind more than broken homes — it left behind broken hearts.

Families who had little to begin with have now lost everything.

The Reality We’re Facing

At Free Town Foundation, we’ve been walking among the wreckage — listening to the stories, holding the hands, and wiping the tears of those who feel forgotten.

What we’ve seen is heartbreaking:

• Homes swept away by floodwaters

• Children crying from hunger

• Families sharing a single meal for the day

• Elderly residents trapped with no help and no roof over their heads

This isn’t just a disaster.

It’s a human crisis.

We want to do our part by helping to provide food, clothes and helping in every way we can.
