Daniel Fuentes Espinal - the beloved, longtime pastor of Iglesia del Nazareno Jesus Te Ama (Church of the Nazarene Jesus Loves You) in Easton, Maryland - was arrested by ICE agents on Monday, July 21. He is now being held in an ICE detention center in Baltimore where, according to his daughter, "he is very cold and there are no beds. Just a concrete floor and a bench." His family has hired an attorney, who is working to secure his release and return home to Easton.

Pastor Fuentes Espinal, a father of three beautiful children, is a beloved pillar of our community. He has been in the U.S. for 24 years, has no criminal record and is known throughout Easton for providing food, shelter, clothing, emergency funds and emotional support to its most vulnerable residents. This has devastated his family and traumatized a community that depends so heavily upon him.
