My name is Jonathan Crespo-Arias, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult moments my family has ever faced.

My siblings, Ernesto Neill Crespo Arias and Lizzie Lynn Crespo-Arias, were recently detained by immigration authorities after leaving their workplace in Buffalo, New York.

They were working as Technician II employees at a data center and, after completing their workday, they were traveling in a company-provided vehicle to a hotel arranged by their employer.

Shortly after leaving work, they were stopped at a checkpoint by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and taken into custody.

Both of my siblings entered the United States legally and have pending asylum cases. They have no criminal record and have always worked hard to support themselves and move forward in life.

Ernesto is currently detained at the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility under U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody, and Lizzie remains under CBP custody.

We are now working urgently with an immigration attorney to fight for their release and defend their case. The legal expenses are significant, including federal legal action and potential bond costs.

We are asking for your support to help cover these legal expenses and give my siblings a fair opportunity to continue their case and return home while their process is ongoing.

Mis hermanos, Ernesto Neill Crespo Arias y Lizzie Lynn Crespo-Arias, fueron detenidos recientemente por autoridades migratorias después de salir de su trabajo en Buffalo, Nueva York.

Ellos trabajan como Técnicos II en un data center y, al finalizar su jornada laboral, se dirigían en un vehículo proporcionado por la empresa hacia el hotel asignado por su empleador.
