My husband was pulled over because of a traffic infraction, something that should have received a traffic ticket. However, he has been arrested and is now being held three hours away from our home on an ICE detainment. He has been separated from our family and everything we know.
This has been devastating.
My husband isn't undocumented. He has a type of amnesty, and we were actually in the middle of finalizing his immigration papers before all of this occurred. We've done everything by the book, and now we're left with fear, uncertainty, and an unbearable amount of legal and financial stress as a family.
Every day he serves in detention means
another day for our family in pain,
emotionally, mentally, and financially. The expenses in securing his release and pursuing the process in court exceed what we can individually accommodate.
We're not looking to be helped just to see if it would be helpful to us, although that doesn't sound quite right. We're looking to be helped
Every contribution is a reminder that we are one step closer to being reunited as a family and finding a sense of normalcy again during this difficult time. If you are unable to contribute, your sharing of our story or
prayers on our behalf are just as
appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with us during one of the most difficult times that we have ever had in our family. Your kindness and support give us
hope during a time that we so desperately need it
