Hello, my name is Melissa, and I am reaching out during one of the hardest moments my family has ever faced. Recently, my family was the victim of a rental scam. We used all of the money we had saved to pay what we believed was a legitimate security deposit and first month’s rent for a home. Sadly, we later discovered it was a scam, and we lost everything we had set aside for housing.

I am a newly licensed foster mom caring for two foster children, in addition to my two own children. Right now, our biggest need is to secure a safe, stable 4-bedroom home so the children can have the security and stability they deserve. This situation has been heartbreaking and overwhelming, but I am doing everything I can to stay strong for the kids who depend on me.
