Hi family and friends, my little brother Foster whom many of you know or have met just became a father today (over 2 months earlier than expected) and I became an aunt to my first niece. Her name is Arianna Joelle Nicole Shafer and she was born today August 11th, 2021 at 12:37pm. She weighs 3lbs and 10oz and is 16 inches long. Audrey (the sweet mother of Arianna) went into the hospital over a week ago with Covid Pneumonia and she has been heavily sedated and still is. I'm truthfully not sure if she even knows she gave birth today to her precious baby girl. Thank God, Audrey and Arianna are stable but both are in the ICU and the NICU for the time being. Arianna was born 9 weeks early because the doctors had to take this approach so they can try different treatments on Audrey without harming the baby. I am first asking for prayers and support for these young new parents. If you're a parent, you know how scary it is for the first time having a baby but I can't imagine how hard it will be for all three of them under these circumstances. I am collecting donations for them to be able to get any premie items they may need for their sweet baby girl. Please keep this new family in your prayers during these uncertain times.
