On February 10, 2019 Todd lost his battle with metastatic Ocular Melanoma.  This campaign is to help support the lights of Todd's life, his wife Nicole and 2 year old son Morgan.  I have known Nicole for 20 years, and throughout our friendship she has been a source of immense support and caring, always reminding me of my worth and beauty as a human being.  I am honored to be able to help her now, during her time of need. 

When Todd and Nicole received Morgan in adoption on June 18 2016, they were looking forward to a life together - of providing a nurturing and supportive environment in which Morgan could flourish.  They had waited so long for their child, and he was finally here. Todd was the primary financial support for their household, and he fulfilled this role so well in his successful career.  However, now Nicole and Morgan find themselves in a very precarious financial position, with the loss of Todd. 

In addition to Todd's death, Nicole's older brother Jonathan died and was buried one day before Todd died.  During this same time, Nicole's mother went into a nursing home, suffering from dementia and other disabling conditions. Thus Nicole lost her husband and brother within weeks of each other.  Despite her own losses, Nicole has tirelessly worked to be sure Morgan's young mind can process all the loss he is faced with.  Nicole and Morgan have very few financial resources to live off of.  Nicole has been in a caregiver role for years, first for her father who died in 2015, next for her mother, and subsequently for Todd.  Nicole is one of the most gifted social workers I have even known, and she will return to do important work one day - but for now, she needs to be able to concentrate on helping Morgan and herself through this incredibly difficult time.  Morgan has lost his father, his uncle, and his abuela is very sick.  So much for such a young soul to endure.  

So I am asking for any amount you can donate in our effort to provide support to this amazing family.  All that Nicole and Todd have ever done has been #forMorgan.  Please consider donating so that "team mommy and Morgan" can transition to Arkansas where they have an amazing support system.  They’re also in need of a reliable vehicle but Nicole isnt able to secure a loan due to having no stream of income right now. They need to purchase a car immediately, and hope to move rather quickly, but finances are dwindling.    I so very much appreciate your support, on behalf of Nicole and Todd - lets do this #forMorgan!
