Hi friends. Everyone hates asking for help and we are no exception—but to be honest, we’re kind of desperate. Our little baby, Wally, has been hospitalized twice in the last 2 weeks, due to a urethral blockage. (2 separate blockages, a male cat owner’s worst nightmare, honestly) and the hospitalizations totaled about $5k.

Thankfully we were able to get approved for financing both times so that we were able to pay for his procedures. (If you’re not familiar with vet care, if you can’t pay, they literally will not provide life saving care—no hate towards vet staff, they aren’t able to perform procedures and administer medications without payment up front or they can’t run their business, so it’s not on them, it’s just how it works).

So we were able to save him and get him help immediately, but the loans we had to take out, we simply can’t afford to pay. We’re really only looking to recoup about half, and we can pay the rest monthly. I’m a firm believer that pet costs are the responsibility of the pet owner, but goddamn when it rains it pours and this truly wiped us out financially and it wasn’t something we were able to plan for, and when you’re already kind of drowning financially, an unexpected $5k is a LOT.
