Hi friends, family, and community,

My name is Lori, and I’m Kayla’s mom. I’m writing on behalf of our family after an unexpected and frightening situation that could have ended very differently.

Earlier this week, while Kayla, Glen, and the kids were all out of the house, the ceiling in their living room suddenly collapsed. By the grace of God, no one was home when it happened. What could have been catastrophic—and potentially deadly—occurred while they were safely away. We truly believe God’s hand of protection was over them that morning.

Although everyone is safe, the damage to their home has displaced their family. They are currently staying elsewhere with their children and dogs while insurance evaluates the situation and repairs begin. In addition to the major damage, the collapse caused a loss of insulation, and with the extreme cold temperatures, they are going through a significant amount of fuel just to keep the home from further damage. Fuel costs alone have become a major and unexpected expense.

While insurance will help cover some repairs, there are many immediate costs that add up quickly—temporary housing needs, fuel, clothing, food, daily necessities, and other unexpected expenses during this time.

As a mom and grandma, I am incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love already shown. People have stepped in with prayers, meals, clothing, supplies, and places for them to stay, and it has meant more than words can express.

If you feel led to help support Kayla, Glen, and the kids during this time, any donation—no matter the size—would be a tremendous blessing and will go directly toward helping cover these immediate needs. If you’re unable to give financially, continued prayers are deeply appreciated.

Thank you for loving and supporting our family during this difficult season. We give God all the glory for His protection and provision.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Lori
