My name is Tristin Autrey. I have been married to my wife, Sierra, for 9 years and have 4 beautiful children, 3 girls and 1 boy, all under the age of 7. While they are a handful, they bring so much joy into our lives.
For the past couple of years, we have lived in a small 3 bedroom apartment. While we are grateful to have a roof over our heads, it is getting a bit small for our growing family. We have always tried to provide the best life for our children and we are coming to you asking for help.
About a year and a half ago, we invested in a simple real estate deal that promised a good return. We were going to use that profit as a part of a downpayment on a house.
About 6 months later, we learned that the deal went south and the person we invested with refused to return our initial investment. We have been on the hook for certain liabilities related to this deal since. This came as a huge shock and was emotionally crippling. Since then, I have been battling debilitating depression and, at times, thought about ending my life because I didn’t see a way forward.
I have been to a counselor to help me through this period in my life and, while it has helped, there are still many nights where I lie awake wondering how we can get out from under this debt.
On top of it all, it is looking like I am going to need surgery on my shoulder. I have tried natural remedies and a chiropractor but the pain still persists. The hardest part is that it is getting painful to play with my children. We love to wrestle and it is difficult for them to understand why I can’t play with them like I used to.
Please help us pay off the liabilities that we have incurred from this investment and begin saving for a house and possible surgery so that we can continue to provide the best life for our children. Please help us begin again and move forward with our life.
