Help for Tilo

Tilo is a young dog with an incredibly big heart – and a severely injured body.

He came to our shelter in early 2024 from terrible, shady circumstances.
His paw was broken, his hock joint destroyed – a heartbreaking condition caused by neglect.

In April, Tilo had his first major surgery. A metal plate was inserted to try and save his leg.
We raised donations at that time – and many of you generously helped.

But then, the wound became infected.
Tilo spent weeks in the veterinary clinic, fighting through pain.
A second surgery followed – the plate was replaced.
But again, no healing. Another infection. More setbacks.

And just yesterday: the third surgery.
Tilo now has one final chance.
But if this doesn’t work, the only option left is amputation.

The problem?
His “healthy” front leg is already too weak to carry all his weight alone.
If this last operation fails, Tilo will likely have to be put to sleep.

We’re doing everything we can to save him.
Right now, Tilo is in a loving medical foster home where he’s being cared for 24/7.

But we urgently need your help to cover the costs.

The previous treatments, clinic stays, and surgeries have already cost several thousand euros.


For this third operation alone, we now need around €1,800.
