Sonia and Jesse need your help!

Adan has been struggling with EOE for the past six years. He would have a hard time eating because his esophagus would swell up and it took a long time for food to pass through. The last couple years he's had some very scary episodes where he would think he was having a heart attack and couldn't breathe. The beginning of this year he had a scope done and doctors said his EOE had subsided. But Adan continued not wanting to eat much even struggled drinking water. He would say it hurt to eat and drink.

Adan lost so much weight extremely fast it was scary! Sonia and Jesse didn't know what to do anymore as the doctors were saying nothing is wrong and he is fine. They decided to bring him to the ER saturday April 1st and Adan was immediately admitted for dehydration. While in the hospital doctors came to the conclusion that he is suffering from ARFID- a selective eating disorder. Because Adan has had so many traumatic episodes he's terrified to eat!

At this point we don't know how long Adan will be hospitalized. Both Sonia and Jesse have missed many days of work with Jesse's job being so spuratic this whole winter and Sonia now having to take off to be with Adan, it's difficult to just keep up with life.

Rob and I have created this page in hopes to raise $3,000 to help cover medical and living expenses while they're in the hospital not knowing when Adan will get to go home.
