HELP FOR THE HARDIN FAMILY

Hi, My name is Ryan and I am hoping that you will be gracious enough to donate to my fundraiser. I am raising funds to help keep my mom and dad from being made homeless. My mom, Courtney Hardin and my dad, Troy Hardin and I have been in Castle Rock since we moved here in 2007. My family has made it through good times, bad times and really bad times during our 16 years living in Castle Rock. We have gone through really bad times when my older brother took his own life in 2014. We have gone through bad times when we lost our house because none of us wanted to go on living and have to work and go to school after my brother committed suicide. My dad was destroyed when Justin died. He developed ulcers all over his body and feet. He was deemed as disabled and could not work. In 2016, we were homeless, we stayed in hotels, motels, our Jeep. My mom continued to work but not having a stable home environment to get cleaned up daily for going to work eventually caught up with her because she could not dependable or reliable to get to work. That ended up costing her employment. We do not have any family here in Colorado. So, I tried to support them as much as I could until finally, President Trump sent out money (stimulus checks) to families and we used that money to put a deposit down on an apartment and moved in The Vistas at Plum Creek on April 21, 2020. It was an answered prayer! My mom and dad have been able to manage the rent, even as new apartment management raised the rent by almost $500 in the second year and by another $350 currently. They have lived in their apartment for over 4 years now but unfortunately, my mom was injured at work last August and has not been able to return to work. Now, both my parents are disabled and have fallen behind 3 months rent. It will be 4 months come August 1, 2023. My mom has applied for disability at the end of the last year and her application is not finalized. So, she has now retained an attorney to represent her claim and move the application along. The property manager has demanded that we pay $8708.72 by August 10, 2023 or my family and myself are going to be evicted.

This is why I need your help. I am asking for you to donate funds to help protect my disabled parents from being homeless again. My mom is still trying to rehab from her surgery in January and she has fallen again and may need to have another surgery. Which makes it very important to keep my parents in their apartment at this time.

We have $1250 ourselves to put towards the $8708.72 balance, which leaves us short $7458.71. I have also reached out to a few churches this weekend and I am waiting for them to get back with me. In the meantime, I pray that you can find it in your hearts to support my mom and dad at this time.
