A cold dread settled over me on May 30th, 2025, a day that forever changed our lives. My son, Devante Alexander Williams, who we affectionately call Tae-Tae, was shot three times. This senseless act of violence has left him immobile from the waist down, a reality that still feels like a nightmare. Even in this darkness, we trust and believe God for complete healing. Tae-Tae's fighting spirit is strong, but the physical and financial toll of this tragedy is overwhelming. We are facing a long road to recovery, and we can't do it alone. The medical needs are piling up, and we need to make significant adjustments to our home to accommodate his new needs. We need to install ramps and modify our bathroom to make it accessible.
