Help for Struggling Family in Haiti

As many of you know, I launched Global Peace Challenge 2020 on January 1, 2020. In May, we were introduced to Jonas Ophedna, who has been serving as our Peace Ambassador for Haiti. Jonas is a father of three young children and a leader of his community. He is sponsored by a non-profit based in Minnesota. Initially Jonas seemed to be a very happy man and thriving as a leader who was respected in his community. Over the last few months, it's become obvious that Jonas is struggling. Between natural disasters (weather related) and the COVID pandemic, Jonas and his community have suffered. He's struggling to feed his family and keep his daughter in school (there is no public school system in Haiti). I ended up talking to the Minnesota non-profit and they confirmed my concerns about Jonas. They have decided to focus on raising funds for a new school in Jonas's community. But they have not been able to give Jonas the support they have in the past. So, I have been trying to work with Jonas on his short-term financial needs and building some systems for long-term sustainable. I have been reaching out to local colleges about working to develop a business plan for Jonas on various projects, such as building a community chicken coop or setting up a hydroponics system to grow food indoors. He also has a proposal for a business his wife would like to set up to provide various personal services for the women in the community. I'm also looking at various micro-loan programs to help with that.
In the meantime, Jonas needs some funds to support his family and keep his daughter in school. I'm hoping this fund will help provide some of those funds and would appreciate if, maybe in lieu of spending money on a Christmas gift, you would be willing to kick in $5-$10 to help the cause. I would much appreciate it.
