Help for Shy and Her family

Hi my Name is Kathy, I am Shiann’s mom. Early last week while Shy was having a routine ultrasound to check on the well being of her twins she was sent straight up to maternity where they informed her that she has TTTS syndrome in her pregnancy. Not knowing what that was and getting no answers until the doctor came in you can only imagine the thoughts going through her head. Finally the doctor arrived and told her she had to go to Mount Sinai hospital for surgery right away for the safety of the babies. Shy and her partner Dave drove up to the hospital the next morning where she underwent laser surgery. She was told the surgery was successful that they split the umbilical cord so both babies would have their own feeding source. Over night they continued to try to get Shys blood pressure under control so they could give her the medication she needs. They next morning they did another ultrasound and found the baby A s sac was filling again with fluid and that there was a small tear in the sac baby B had fluid building around the heart. They told her that they would have to check again in a week to see if things had gotten better. But she would have to travel back to mount Sinai again Christmas Eve to see a cardiologist for baby B. Shy was made to go on sick leave and was told that all appointments would be at mount Sinai in Toronto. Devastated just before Christmas not knowing anything else. This is why we are asking for help for travel expenses and living expenses. There will be times that she will have to stay at a hotel in Toronto for a couple days just so she is close in the case there are complications. Shy never asks for help for her and her three young daughters and is quick to help others when and where she can . Please if you can help whether it’s sending prayers, or sharing this it would be greatly appreciated
