Help for Rob and Annette

The term ‘nicest guy in the world’ is used all the time, but there’s no doubt of the truth in that statement for my dad.
Many of you will already know that Robert suffered a stroke on the 1st December last year and has been in hospital recovering since then. He’s been making progress with his speech, but has still a way to go when it comes to regaining his memory and full library of words. Unfortunately he’s not currently able to move the right side of his body so cannot walk or use his right hand, he’s shortly being moved to a care facility that will give him 3 weeks physio therapy in the hope of changing this.
In addition to dads stroke we’ve had some further bad news in that doctors believe they have discovered a brain tumour, a confirmation we’re waiting for once the bleed has disappeared for them to better diagnose. However it may mean that he will face surgery, radio or chemotherapy for this.
All of you will know what a hard worker my dad is and it comes as no shock that he desperately wants to recover to continue to support his family. At the moment it remains unclear whether he will be able to return to work at all. A few years ago my mother, Annette gave up her job to help look after their grand children meaning that Dad was the sole income for them both.
We have lots of friends and family that have been so supporting over the last few months and we can’t explain how much we all appreciate it. I know everyone has pains and struggles of their own, but if you could help even just a little so that perhaps their bills will be covered for a little while without adding extra stress to an already difficult time it really would mean the world.
Lots of love, The Danter’s x
