Help for Ogbonna Family Tragedy

Donation protected
On December 28, 2018, tragedy struck the Ogbonna family. After already losing their father Bright to cancer several years ago, Foster (a classmate, basketball teammate and friend of our son Ben) and his younger sister Flourish endured the loss of their mother Anthonia to pneumonia. Their grandma Grace has come from Nigeria to care for them, but they are obviously in significant need. Though they are both US citizens, they don't have any other family in the US.

Since housing is their most pressing need, our goal is to raise $30,000 to cover their rent for the next two years. That will put them on stable ground financially, keep them in the only community they know and enable them to get through high school.

All donations will be deposited into an account at Village Bank & Trust in Arlington Heights. I am the custodian of the account and Max Christie is the secondary. We will direct 100% of the donations to rent. Cindy and I have deposited $1000 directly into the account to get it started. Donations are not tax deductible.

Thanks so much for your consideration! It is a heart wrenching situation and we are grateful for any help you can provide. No donation is too small!
