Just two months shy of their first wedding anniversary, Nathan and Stacey were looking forward to the birth of their first child. On a day that should have been the happiest day of their life, the unimaginable occurred. Shortly after the arrival of their son Axel, Stacey passed away due to complications from childbirth.
Nathan and Stacey were soulmates and shared a love for travel, their dog Winter and living a simple quiet life. They had a goal to buy a house, but their dream was to one day build a home and raise a family. They were excited for the birth of their child. Stacey however was only able to experience the joy of her new baby boy for a few short moments.
Stacey was a professional Nutritionist and ran her own small business ‘Natural Spoonfuls’, with passion and enthusiasm. The natural recipes she shared inspired us all to live healthier lives. She and Nathan loved to spend their time together with Winter on nature walks or at the beach.
Now, Nathan has a newborn baby and is left to navigate life from here as a single father. The challenge to provide all that a young child needs without his soulmate is a daunting one whilst dealing with such a tragic loss. Late night feedings, nappy changes and adjustment to this new life are a heavy burden for a young father even with the support of family.
Nathan is not one to ask for help, however we know he will need assistance. With love and support we know he will succeed and be an amazing father to Axel. There is no doubt the financial prospects from here for Nathan are significant. Nathan will be unable to return to work as planned for the near future.
How you can help:
We are sincerely asking for support to help Nathan focus on what matters most, grieving, healing and bonding with his son Axel. Your generosity will help with:
_ Funeral & Memorial costs
_ Nappies, baby supplies and possible childcare
_ Household bills
_ Time off work for Nathan
Nathan is a professional Surveyor and works in the field in establishment of new roads and freeways, often working the nightshift. The ability for Nathan to return to work in this capacity as a single father and the sole care giver to Axel is currently unrealistic. When he may be able to return to work is unknown.
Every dollar raised will give Nathan the time and space that he needs to begin the long road to healing and ensure that Axel is surrounded by the love and support he needs and that Stacey would have wished for.
If you are unable to donate, please kindly consider sharing this campaign so we can reach as many people as possible to help let Nathan and Axel know they are not alone.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
