Help for my Uncle Gerry McKenna

Asking for help is never an easy task but our family is in need of a holiday miracle. My uncle Gerard "Gerry" McKenna suffered a heart attack and stroke 5 years ago, and as a result he has not been able to work. Since then, his daughter moved him to Ontario to be closer to his grand children and family. She has been his care taker ever since, all while being a self employed single Mom.

Approximately 6 weeks ago Gerry found a mass on his neck and was diagnosed with cancer. He will require radiation and chemotherapy treatments, Miranda (his daughter) will not be able to work in order to take him to treatments, and to care for her father.

As if this news wasn't devastating enough, Miranda's mother is currently fighting lung cancer.

Some of you may remember when Gerry and his 2 younger brothers Justin and Donnie arrived at my grand parents home many years ago as foster children, and were adopted by Louis and Marceline Leblanc du Portage Cap Pelé. I know our local community has a big heart and I hope we can make this fight a bit easier for their family.

Any help is appreciated as the costs of travel, food, medication, etc. without a source of income is a burden no one should have to bare alone.
