Dear Supporters of the Mark Kuharski City Council Campaign,

We have established this GoFundMe account to assist in covering attorney fees and related expenses for defending against a complaint filed with the Florida Elections Commission. Currently, Mark has personally spent approximately $1,100.00, and this amount will continue to rise until a decision is reached by the Florida Elections Commission. We anticipate a decision to be made in February 2024.

The complaint revolves around an advertisement published in the Sun Newspaper and on Facebook, comparing the credentials of both candidates, and alleged misuse of Mark’s weekly newsletter. The complaint expresses objection to the content of the ad and the newsletter. Mark vehemently denies all accusations, and his attorney has submitted a response on his behalf.

The complaint was filed prior to the election, and despite the election results, the filer has not withdrawn the complaint.

All contributions made to this fund are able to be anonymous if you so choose on the site. Any amount donated will assist in covering the personal expenses Mark has already incurred for his defense, as well as potential future attorney fees and expenses. Should there be any surplus funds, they will be directed towards a local charity.
