Matt Sherlock passed away in the early hours of August 30, 2021.  Matt had dedicated his life to service. He was a dedicated Sergeant in the Army and served two tours in Iraq. Along with being a volunteer firefighter, he was also a 13 year veteran of the Suffolk County Police Department.

But beyond his many accolades within his many working careers, Matt was known at home as the best daddy. He was the official "chef" of the Sherlock home. His passion for his family and life could be felt anytime you were around him. He had an amazing sense of humor. He loved working on his wood projects at home, cooking up fantastic meals nightly for family and friends, and spending time with his amazing family.

Matt leaves behind his beautiful bride Michele, and three young children; Sean (12), Becca(11), and Emily (7). Because Matt was so young, He and Michele still had many years to save and plan for their children's education, wedding, and first home funds. We are asking that people who are inclined to send flowers or gifts, consider donating to this fund for Michele and the children.

The funds raised through this process will help Michele save and plan for the adventures that are yet to come for their children. Flowers, while thoughtful, will fade but being able to help their children as they grow, will sustain them for much longer.
