Help for civilian refugees fleeing Ukraine

Here at ALB and New Century Windows we are appalled with the current invasion in Ukraine and feel we all have a duty to help those civilians fleeing the atrocities we are witnessing. Our MDs Arran Bailey and Rob Cassidy would like to raise as much money as possible to personally deliver supplies to refugees in Moldova as we all have a personal duty to help. Arran has chosen to deliver supplies to Moldova as he feels the country has been overlooked for the 230,000 refugees arriving distressed and very little to their name.

The funds will be withdrawn in to a bank account set up solely for this purpose and all funds raised will be used to buy thermal blankets, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, clothing (adults and children), toiletries, nappies, wet wipes, sanitary products, underwear including socks, battery torches, solar phone chargers, towels, cutlery, energy bars, dried fruit, nuts, tinned food, rice, porridge, baby milk, hat, scarf and gloves etc. We currently have two vans lined up to make the journey over to Moldova and hope they will be brimming with supplies purchased from the money raised as well as donations of items to the office. 

We believe this will all go a long way in helping those fleeing the conflict and providing short-term relief from this appalling situation. ALB have donated the first £1,000 to the cause and all funds raised will go directly to buying aid for the refugees. No funds raised will cover fuel, tolls and any other expenses during the journey to Moldova this cost will be covered by ourselves. 
Thank you to all those who have donated and for those who continue to donate. Arran and the team of drivers have now returned from their trip delivering aid to the refugee camps and we now have a lorry driving over again on Friday 25th March with further aid. We have also created Project Action Smile with an aim of achieving a 1,000 smiles on children's faces. Our initial aim is to provide backpacks to refugees full of small activities to occupy children and distract them from the horrendous situation they are currently facing.
