My son Christopher and his wife Janet have suffered a week of tragic losses. On the early morning of June 29th while at work and Janet away visiting her mother their house was broken into and completely ransacked and personal items including a shotgun and handguns were stolen. Then exactly one week later while working at the Cub Store in Crystal, MN his 1-ton Ford work van and several thousand dollars worth of tools (including a wire feed welder he had borrowed from dear old dad) were stolen. The guns were very quickly recovered but the damage to the household items and garage and shed doors are still being repaired and or being replaced. At this point, it looks like his business liability insurance does not cover his van or his tools.
First off please remember them in your daily prayer time.
Chris is an extremely hard worker and over the past ten years a loving caregiver for his wife Janet who has been affected by Crohn's disease since shortly after their wedding. This series of events has devastated Chris and Janet emotionally and we are doing everything we can to help them bounce back and recover from this seemingly insurmountable series of events in this young couple's life. Shirley and I have lent Chris our pick-up truck until he can find some sort of replacement work van that will fill the needs of his business. He is a Ford guy because he knows them forwards and backward and can fix anything that might need repairing. Chris always buys and repairs, but I am hoping to find something just a bit better so he can get back to work with a lot less effort. Chris is an independent contractor with all the Cub Food stores and does minor and major repairs at their many locations around the state, so if it's working Chris may have fixed it or will in the near future.
Tools and household items need to be replaced and then there is that van and unfortunately, mom and dad can't do it all.
Thank you so very much, God Bless your families this day and always.
