Hi, my name is Wayne and I am trying to help my cousin Jesus "Chico" Ortiz. He has been an EMT for the Tohono O'Odahm and Ajo community for 27 years, and now he needs help. He was diagnosed with a faulty heart valve when he was only 2 years old and it caught up with him. On August 28th he was at work and not feeling well. He went to the hospital and Doctors told him that he needed a heart valve replacement and bypass. He had surgery on September 7th and released from the hospital on the 18th. He has been unable to work for over a month and the Doctors recommended that he stay out of work for at least 3 months. Most of us can't do that, and he can't as well. He has worked hard all his life helping people and now he needs our help. He's not looking for hand outs and it was already hard to get him to agree to this. He has a family that he has to take care of, and I'm just asking if we can help him. Let's help him like he has helped both communities. Much love to everyone.
