I’ve gone back and forth about posting this, but I’m in a tough spot right now and figured it’s worth being honest.

Last Friday I was in a scooter accident and broke my leg. It’s a very bad break and I need surgery to heal the right way. The surgeon won’t even see me without a $1,500 deposit, let alone what the hospital will want before they schedule it. I don’t have insurance, and doing lawn care work I’m currently unable to work at all right now, so I’m doing my best to get by.

I’ve applied for Medicaid and food assistance, and thankfully, a kind friend has taken me in and is helping care for me while I try to get things sorted. But I’m still stuck when it comes to the surgery.

If anyone is in a position to help, even $5, $10 or whatever you can, it will all add up to assist with my medical bills, therapy following my surgery, food and other needs while I recover. I know everyone’s dealing with something, and even just some encouragement goes a long way.
